Copper Mountain wants art

Daily News staff report

COPPER MOUNTAIN – The Summit County Arts Council wants visual arts pieces to enliven Copper Mountain’s retail center this summer. Copper is giving the council a 900-square-foot space in the middle of the village for whatever the community can come up with – gallery, workshop, installation, display place, exhibition venue or something so arty it hasn’t been thought about before.

Proposals should include what the project will do for the community, how the artist(s) will compensate the arts council financially or with improvements to the space, how it will be promoted and the time frame for display.

Send proposals to the Summit County Arts Council at P.O. Box 738, Breckenridge, CO, 80424, or

summitcountyartscouncil.com. They will be judged by the Summit County Arts Council Board for originality and their value to the community. For more information, call (970) 453-0450.
