Coroner releases name of Frisco man who died in Interstate 70 crash

The Summit County Coroner’s Office on May 13 released the name of the 41-year-old Frisco resident who died after his vehicle collided with a semitractor-trailer on Interstate 70 on May 11.

Nathanael Minarik was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a Colorado State Patrol news release. The coroner’s office wrote in an email that Minarik was originally from Virginia.

The crash occurred near mile point 203, which is near the Summit Boulevard exit on I-70. Minarik was following the trailer and failed to slow as he approached it, according to the state patrol release. The front of his car hit the back of the trailer.
