Council to hold public hearing on school site tonight

SILVERTHORNE – The Silverthorne Town Council will hold a public hearing in the Silverthorne Town Hall at 6 p.m. tonight on its plans to give six acres of town-owned land to the Summit School District.

The district plans to build a $12 million elementary school on the land.

The land is within the town’s Cottonwood Park, located at the corner of Highway 9 and Hamilton Creek Road on Silverthorne’s north side.

After the hearing, the council will vote on whether to convey the land to the district.
