CPA Yanari dies at age 57

Dale Yanari

FRISCO – Frisco police conducting a welfare check at a condominium Friday discovered the body of Dale Yanari.

Yanari, a 57-year-old accountant, suffered from undisclosed medical conditions that contributed to his death, according to Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson. The death was categorized as natural causes. Police were alerted to check on Yanari after a co-worker reported he hadn’t showed up at the office Friday.

Information on any memorial services was unavailable Saturday; Yanari’s closest surviving family members live in the Denver area, where Yanari was born and raised.

Yanari was active in Rotary and also served on the advisory board of The Summit Foundation. Deb Edwards, the foundation’s executive director, said Yanari was a “quiet giver.” His firm had conducted the foundation’s audits for the past decade, and Yanari prepared the foundation’s tax returns.”He volunteered for everything,” Edwards said, adding that the avid hockey fan was always quick to give up his Avalanche tickets for friends. “Just a week ago, he spent the whole day at the Duck Race. This is really hard to take. He was the nicest man you ever knew.”
