FRISCO – Colorado State Patrol officers Tuesday identified a victim who died in a rollover accident on Interstate 70 Monday morning as Brisa Quezada, 20, of Aurora.

Quezada suffered head and chest injuries in the one-car crash, which occurred on eastbound I-70 east of the Main Street Frisco exit. She was airlifted to St. Anthony’s Central, and later pronounced dead.

Others injured in the crash include driver Margarita Lopez, 47, who suffered a broken back; 10-year-old Lupe Lopez, who broke his nose after he was ejected from the van; Victor Quezada, 21, who suffered head injuries; Elizabeth Quezada, 3 and Cynthia Quezada, 5, who both suffered minor injuries.

Victor Quezada was the only one of the six people in the van who wore a seat belt.

The accident occurred about 8 a.m. Monday when the driver apparently bent over to pick up the top to her coffee cup. She lost control of the van, which veered off the highway’s right shoulder, spun and rolled over a distance of more than 250 feet, landing on its wheels.
