Crawford family: An open letter to the town of Frisco

The family of Karen (KK) Crawford
Portsmouth, N.H.

My husband and I would like all of you to know how much our daughter loved you. As you may know, Karen was raised in Maine, attended local schools and graduated from Thomas College in Waterville, Maine. Karen always loved the call of the ski mountains and skied when ever she could back east. Karen and some of her college friends decided to “ski real mountains” so they all packed up and headed to Colorado, and as they say, the rest is history. We remember when Karen settled in Frisco. It was a true love affair. She would always tell us about all the local happenings, parties, local news, births and deaths. Karen was always amazed by the sense of community in your small town. She called you all her second family. Karen told tales of the “orphan” Thanksgivings and family-style Christmases. She loved it all. So in light of that, it is fitting that we her family give all who loved her a collective hug. We are devastated by the loss of our beautiful kind daughter. The champ!

We will plan a celebration of her life both there in Frisco and at the seacoast. We thank you all for you friendship, love and support.
