Crowning a Town Fool

Summit Daily/Brad Odekirk KSMT's Lisa Korry Cheek was named Town Fool Friday afternoon and mugs for the crowd with jester Steve Burell shortly after getting pies of whipped cream in the face.

In one of the town’s annual rites of spring, Lisa Korry Cheek was crowned the Town Fool Friday in a celebration at Blue River Plaza in Breckenridge.

A few hundred people attended festivities that benefited the Breckenridge Elite Athletes Foundation.

More than $1,500 was raised, a portion of which will benefit Silverthorne resident and Olympic skeleton hopeful Katie Uhlaender.
