CSU to hold Bear Aware program

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

Spring has finally arrived and Summit County’s bears are waking from their winter slumber. CSU Cooperative Extension Summit County would like to invite you to learn more about bears by joining us for a free program titled “Understanding the American Black Bear” to be held from 7-8:30 p.m. at the County Commons near Frisco on Wednesday, May 31. This program will be presented by Gail Marshall, Summit County’s coordinator for Colorado Division of Wildlife’s Bear Awareness Campaign. Her program will cover Black Bear behavior and physiology, as well as some proactive behaviors people can adopt to protect people and bears. Call (970) 668-3595 for more information.
