CU law professor to join US Justice Department

BOULDER ” University of Colorado law professor Philip Weiser has been appointed as a deputy assistant attorney general at the U.S. Justice Department’s Antitrust Division.

Weiser will handle international, policy and appellate matters starting in July. He previously was a senior counsel in the Justice Department’s antitrust division.

Weiser joined the university’s law school and Interdisciplinary Telecommunications Program in 1999. He is associate dean for research and executive director of the Silicon Flatirons Center for Law, Technology and Entrepreneurship.

Weiser is a graduate of Swarthmore College and the New York University School of Law.
