Danse Etoile Ballet to present second annual ‘Winter Soiree’ in Silverthorne

SILVERTHORNE ” Danse Etoile Ballet, the nonprofit dance and performing arts company for talented young dancers, musicians and actors, will present the second “Winter Soiree” in Silverthorne on Sunday, Dec. 16, at 1 p.m. The performance, which will be held at the Silverthorne Pavilion, will include an afternoon of music and dance performed by the Danse Etoile Ballet company and a number of special guest performers.

The 90-minute program will include selections from the classical ballets “Swan Lake,” “Le Corsaire,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “La Bayadere” and “The Nutcracker”; contemporary dances inspired by “The Untouchables,” Hollywood westerns and more. Guest performers at the event will include local violinist Luke Fatora and Sal Mancini.

The event will also provide an opportunity to shop for unique holiday gifts such as pointe shoes, handmade jewelry and ballet memorabilia. Food, drink and desserts will also be available.

Tickets to the performance are $8 for children under 12 years old and $12 for adults.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Silverthorne Recreation Center or by calling (970) 262-7370 or on the day of the event at the Silverthorne Pavilion.
