Day camp is under way

Summit Summer Day Camp has begun and runs 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Aug. 24. Counselors are providing activities such as nature hikes, mine and cave exploration, swimming, soccer, rock climbing, art and science activities, visits to the zoo, Denver Art Museum, Wildlife Experience, Water World, Elitch Gardens and more. June activities are themed around science, July’s theme is sports and fitness and August activities will entail art and music. Summit Summer Day Camp is offered at the Dillon Valley Elementary for grades kindergarten through fifth. To register, call (970) 668-4151 or (970) 668-4256. Daily rates start at $28 with a one time $20 registration fee; additional costs may apply for special activities.
