Deadline approaching for Summit County Republican Women scholarship applications

The deadline is approaching for Summit County graduating seniors to apply for the Summit County Republican Women 2025 Constitutional Scholar Award, according to a news release from the organization.

Final deadline for applications for the scholarship is Friday, Jan. 31. Applications and more information are available through the Summit High School scholarship office, the release states.

The $1,000 scholarship, which is in its third year of being offered by Summit County Republican Women, is up for grabs for any graduating senior in Summit County, including those attending public and private high schools and homeschooled seniors. To apply, students must write an essay involving the U.S. Constitution.

This year’s essay question is “What threats exist today to our Bill of Rights, and why is it important to protect these rights?” The length of the essay is 500-800 words, according to the release.

Summit County Republican Women hosts various events throughout the year and provides an annual scholarship for graduating high school seniors. For more information about the organization, email the group at info@SummitGOPWomen.org or visit SummitGOPWomen.org
