Dean story was a nonstory: Editor should go back to school

Robert Cooper - Breckenridge

Could someone, anyone, please explain to me how a news brief about a Howard Dean letter-

writing campaign qualifies as a news story?

The Community Note you published was a political advertisement, which should be paid for. You call this journalism? Seriously? You need to go back to school, especially the editor, who approved publishing this nonstory.

No wait, it was liberal education that taught you this was a news story, so don’t go back to school.

But at least try to get a clue. Will you write the same “news story” for all the other Democratic presidential candidates whose supporters meet here?

I only care about the Democrats because President Bush will annihilate whichever Democrat has the unhappy task of facing him Nov. 2, 2004, and I feel sorry for him/her.

But real Americans will be thrilled.
