Denver sets record with high of 96 degrees Sunday

DENVER – Denver set a record high temperature for Sunday, and another record could fall Monday.

The National Weather Service says the official high Sunday in Denver was 96 degrees to top the previous record high of 93 for the day in 1980.

Another record could fall Monday. The record high for Sept. 20 was set in 1956, when it was 92 degrees.
