Denver Ski Expo slated for this weekend

The Colorado Ski Expo comes to Denver’s Colorado Convention Center Friday through Sunday.

The show includes 20,000 square feet of gear with deals from 40-75 percent off last season’s equipment prices. Gear, season passes and Expo-only lodging deals and packages from Colorado’s 26 resorts are available at the event.

New attractions at the event include a beer garden, sponsored by Paulaner HP USA, as well as 30-minute WSI Sports fashion shows, the Gibbon Slackline, the Flying Aces trampoline show and more.

A recycling program is in place for shoppers to drop off old skis, boots, boards or poles. Usable equipment will be donated to local charitable programs.

Admission is $12 for adults or $10 with a discount coupon found in The Denver Post, at any Colorado Ski and Golf store, or at, where advance tickets are also available. Children 12 and under are free. Taking RTD light rail to the event provides a $2 coupon on admission. Expo hours are noon to 10 p.m. on Nov. 5; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 6; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 7.
