SUMMIT DAILY NEWS
The Colorado Ski Expo comes to Denver’s Colorado Convention Center Friday through Sunday.
The show includes 20,000 square feet of gear with deals from 40-75 percent off last season’s equipment prices. Gear, season passes and Expo-only lodging deals and packages from Colorado’s 26 resorts are available at the event.
New attractions at the event include a beer garden, sponsored by Paulaner HP USA, as well as 30-minute WSI Sports fashion shows, the Gibbon Slackline, the Flying Aces trampoline show and more.
A recycling program is in place for shoppers to drop off old skis, boots, boards or poles. Usable equipment will be donated to local charitable programs.
Admission is $12 for adults or $10 with a discount coupon found in The Denver Post, at any Colorado Ski and Golf store, or at http://www.OnTheSnow.com, where advance tickets are also available. Children 12 and under are free. Taking RTD light rail to the event provides a $2 coupon on admission. Expo hours are noon to 10 p.m. on Nov. 5; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 6; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 7.
