Dept. of Revenue offers free sales tax class

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

The Colorado Department of Revenue is offering a free training seminar on state sales tax issues from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 7, at 1881 Pierce St, Room 110, in Lakewood. Training materials are provided. Participants will learn about introduction to sales and use tax statutes and regulation, types of sales tax licenses, sales tax collection, how to file a sales tax return and available electronic services. This class requires preregistration. Send reservation requests to taxtraining@spike.dor.state.co.us or call (303) 205-8299. If you are disabled and require reasonable accommodations for the class, please make a registration request at least five business days prior to the training.
