Dillon Amphitheater prepares for season with new food vendors and second year of new policies

The Dillon Amphitheater made changes to its bag, ticketing and chair policies last year — changes that Suzanne Phillipson, Dillon’s marketing and communications manager, said were received well.

The changes included a clear bag requirement, a mobile ticketing system and a height limitation on lawn chairs, things that Phillipson said are becoming common industry-wide.

“I don’t think it was a big surprise for people,” Phillipson said of the changes. “I think people that are accustomed to coming to music venues were very receptive and understood.”

The amphitheater gave away 500 clear bags at an early-season show last year, something Phillipson said it is considering doing again. Like last year, the clear bags will be available for purchase at the Dillon Farmers Market and at the box office on show days.

Phillipson said all the changes made last year will continue for the 2025 season. The amphitheater will not have any new policy changes for this year, although Phillipson said it will have some new food vendors.

“We’re really looking forward to switching up our vendors,” Phillipson said. “We’ll have some new food options for people. It’ll be really exciting.”

In an email, Phillipson wrote that this year’s food vendors will include Scrappy’s Pizza, The Good Stuff, Last Chance Pizza & Sandwich Co., Groovy’s Mac n’ Cheesy and Opa Greek Eats

The bag policy limits guests to clear bags no larger than 12-inches tall by 12-inches long with a 6-inch opening at the top. One-gallon, clear freezer bags are also permitted. Diapers and wipes must be carried in a clear bag, as diaper bags are not allowed.

Camp chairs brought into the venue cannot be more than 5 inches off the ground. Hydration packs under 2 liters in size are allowed, as are empty water bottles and sealed non-alcoholic drinks that are 32 ounces or less.

For all the amphitheater’s policies, visit DillonAmp.com. Phillipson said people looking to get tickets should do so fast, as shows will sell out. To be sure a ticket is legitimate, she said to purchase it from DillonAmp.com or from the amphitheater’s ticketing partner, Tixr.
