Clarence Madison LaBarr, 83, of Frisco died Feb. 21.

Clarence was born Jan. 11, 1930, in Ellsworth, Kan. He had eight brothers and sisters, who all preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Phyllis, of 50 years, son Bruce LaBarr and daughter Ann Gardner and their families.

Clarence moved to Summit County in 1961 and started his teaching career. He married Phyllis in 1962. He retired in 1995 after 34 years of teaching generations of students how to drive.

Clarence loved Summit County and could often be seen walking around Frisco and talking with his many friends. He grew a vegetable garden every summer which he generously shared.

A funeral service for Clarence will be held at the Dillon Community Church on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
