Dillon fills positions in marketing, planning departments
DILLON – The town of Dillon recently hired three new employees in its marketing and planning departments, bringing those areas of town government up to speed.DonnaRay Anderson brings more than 20 years experience to the table in her position as Dillon’s marketing, events planning and communications director.Most recently, Anderson worked as a marketing communications and special events branding consultant. Before that, she was vice president of public relations for Xpanshen Marketing Communications, and a regional director of public relations and community affairs for Adelphia Communications, Inc.She attended the University of Alaska and is a graduate of Ft. Lewis College in Durango.Carrie Benefiel will work alongside Anderson as Dillon’s marketing and events assistant. Benefiel previously worked in Keystone’s marketing and special events department for nearly four years, assisting with events such as 36 Hours of Keystone, the Next Snow Search and the XTERRA Triathlon.In Dillon, Benefiel will help with community events such as the Farmer’s Market and holiday activities, and collaborative efforts like BBQ at the Summit and Snow Golf.Melissa Wyatt joins the town as its new planner. Wyatt’s tasks will be carrying out day-to-day planning duties, as well as accomplishing goals and projects outlined in Dillon’s comprehensive plan and economic development plan.She received her master’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Washington and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota.
