Dillon police investigating unauthorized fliers stuffed into Summit Daily newspapers
The Dillon Police Department is investigating fliers that were stuffed into newspapers on stands in Dillon earlier this week.
Summit Daily News works with local police departments to investigate all cases of inserting unauthorized materials, which the company considers theft.
The current investigation involves a flier related to the special election in Dillon. The publication — which was political in nature, printed on letter-sized paper and lacked a campaign finance disclosure as required by law — was not inserted by Summit Daily News.
If you see any suspicious materials stuffed in the newspaper, please email news@summitdaily.com and include a description of the materials, the location of any affected boxes, the date of the paper it was found inside and any other helpful information.
