Dillon receives $456K grant to update Town Park

The Great Outdoors Colorado board awarded a $456,395 grant to the town of Dillon to update Town Park, according to a news release. The grant is part of the organization’s community impact program, which develops and revitalizes parks, trails, schoolyards and more to enhance quality of life and access to the outdoors.

According to the release, funding will help purchase and install playground equipment and a climbing wall. The $2.7 million renovation project includes a new multiuse sports field, new walking paths, landscaping, a shade structure and other items.

Great Outdoors Colorado was created in 1992, and it has invested more than $9.5 million in projects in Summit County to date.
