The town is also seeking help for its old-fashioned Fourth of July activities.

According to Dillon’s town website, volunteers are needed to assist with event set-up, greeting guests, traffic control, handing out American flags/pins, assistance to the USAF Academy Band, assisting with beer concessions and other helpful tasks on July 2.

Help is need for a variety of tasks on the Fourth of July, including the children’s bike parade, pie-eating contests and other games.

Volunteer shifts will be approximately three hours long and they’ll receive T-shirts. Student volunteers will receive community service credit.
