KIMBERLY NICOLETTI

DILLON – Among actors, it’s known as a place to get to know and work with amazing actors. So if you’re looking for a theatrical outlet, the Lake Dillon Theatre is looking for five males and five females of various ages to audition for “Rumors,” a play by Neil Simon.”Rumors” portrays the humor that results from unexpected situations. Charley and Myra Brock are a wealthy couple who have recently renovated their lusciously extravagant New York home. In celebration of their 10th anniversary, the Brocks throw a party for themselves and invite four couples. Upon arrival, the guests find their host with a gunshot wound and a missing hostess. Since Brock is the deputy mayor, the couples decide to keep the incident under wraps – that is until the police show up. “It’s perhaps one of Neil Simon’s funniest shows,” said Chris Alleman, artistic director.Auditions are at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Lake Dillon Theatre Company.Performances are Nov. 19 through Dec. 19 Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Rehearsals begin in September. Call (970) 513-9386 to reserve a script, and be prepared to read from it.- Kimberly Nicoletti
