Dillon to hear from parks consultants

DILLON – Dillon’s parks and recreation committee will pare down a list of three possible consultants to decide which company to hire to complete a parks master plan for the town.From a list of six that responded to a request for proposals put out by the town, the parks and recreation committee invited the firms of GreenPlay, Winston Associates and a conglomeration of the TPA, Tapis and Kezziah Watkins to present their ideas to the committee.Each team will have a half-hour to share their ideas on the future of Dillon’s parks.The town has never had a parks master plan. It will pay for the consultant with the help of a $30,000 Great Outdoors Colorado planning grant awarded last December.The meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. today at Dillon Town Hall and citizens are encouraged to attend.
