Dillon vet help group profiled on TV Thursday

DAILY STAFF REPORT

Local nonprofit group American War Heroes, headquartered in Dillon, will be the subject of a profile Thursday on CBS channel 4, as part of the station’s Pay-It-Forward program.

The TV station asked, “If you were given $1,000, what needy cause would you give it to?”

Local Dan Goodale responded, was named one of five winners, and presented the money to the Ron Hinkle family, on behalf of the American War Heroes group. Goodale’s interview and presentation will be aired Thursday on channel 4, on the 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts.

The broadcast will also be an opportunity for people to learn about the nonprofit American War Heroes group, an organization dedicated to helping all of our injured heroes back from Afghanistan and Iraq to rebuild their shattered lives.
