Dillon was fortunate Jane Reuter covered town activities

I see reporter Jane Reuter is moving on to bigger and better challenges. Because of her talent, I’m surprised she stayed at the Summit Daily News as long as she has.

Serving on the Dillon Town Council for six years and as mayor for four, I can say the town was fortunate to have Jane assigned to cover its activities. Jane did an excellent job researching her stories, was truly professional in her reporting and presented the facts, accurately, without any hint of tabloid journalism.

This was important to our town, since I recall in a citizen survey that most Dillon residents used the Daily News as their vehicle to find out what was happening in the town. We know they didn’t attend council meetings.

Summit County’s loss is Colorado Springs’ gain. Lots of success to Jane.
