Does Dillon need a parking garage or grocery store? Citizens can weigh in on redevelopment at upcoming event.
Developer Jake Porritt is proposing a structure with a parking garage, restaurant and grocery store at the corner of Lake Dillon Drive and East LaBonte Street
Dillon will host a redevelopment proposal open house on Monday, Dec. 9, according to a news release published by the town.
The Dillon Urban Renewal Authority, which consists of the same members as the Dillon Town Council, will hold the meeting at Pug Ryan’s Brewery from 4:30-6:30 p.m., the news release states. Dillon town staff and the prospective developer will reportedly be in attendance to present the proposal and review plans with the community.
Developer Jake Porritt, whose “branded residence” project was rejected by Dillon voters in October, is behind this latest redevelopment proposal. The new proposal for a grocery store, restaurant and parking structure at the corner of Lake Dillon Drive and East LaBonte Street is a scaled-down version of a previous concept Porritt had pitched for the site.
Dillon has also launched a survey to gather feedback about the redevelopment proposal, according to the news release. To take the survey visit TinyURL.com/DillonRedevelopment.
