Dog doo, roadside trash issues draw clarification from writer

Janet Wolfson - Silverthorne

It figures that the one time I write a letter to the editor, there is a response from a reader showing that my letter wasn’t truly read.

I have seen this in the past – a response is fired off without the reader getting the full intent of the letter, thus leaving the original writer to let it drop or correct the situation.

So, here I am again, letter-writer Frank Lilly. To let you know, I do pick up my dog’s doo and others’ too. And, I agree with you that stepping in doo is a lot worse than stepping on a paper cup.

But, what do you see from your car window? TRASH! The gist of my letter was to highlight the fact we need to spend as much time keeping our streets and neighborhoods free from trash as well as free from dog doo.
