Don’t be blind, vote for Stover

Laura HookansonDillon

Leave it to a partisan Democrat like George Sherman to claim that Bob French is the more qualified candidate for District 1 county commissioner because French “has retired from one of the most lucrative law firms of Summit County.”According to Sherman, this naturally makes French more qualified to deal with population density, water distribution and transportation issues. Really?I agree these issues are very important to the future of Summit County, which is exactly why an objective voter would be wise to choose Jim Stover as District 1 county commissioner. Stover has six years of real experience in land use planning as a member of the Upper Blue Planning Commission. He has four years of experience in water management as a member of the Breckenridge Sanitation District Board of Directors.Up until his appointment three months ago, French was too busy with his “lucrative law firm” to participate in any of these vital citizen-driven efforts to make Summit County a better place to live. This Nov. 2, reject partisan blindness and vote for the one candidate with real experience on the issues facing Summit County.
