Don’t change the art fairs in Breckenridge

I’m an artist who has been participating in these fine shows for several years now.Like many other artists, I come to Breckenridge and spend money at hotels, restaurants and other shops.I send out invitations to my own mailing list, which brings other people to shop not only at the art fair, but at the other fine galleries in your town. It’s difficult to believe that the other merchants in town don’t like the influx of visitors which is beneficial for them as well as for us who participate in the art shows. It’s also difficult to believe that the congestion in the town is any worse than during peak winter skiing times. Please don’t move the dates for the events this year. As an artist, I have to plan my shows a year in advance. Other artists are all in a very similar situation, and we rely on art shows for our source of income. We pay taxes to the town just like the other merchants in town. Please consider our input to you and continue with the fine art fairs in their present location and dates.
