Doug Trieste: Great job Stan Miller!

Doug Trieste

I have worked as the erosion control specialist for Summit Water Quality Committee several years ago and have practically seen it all when it comes to sediment and erosion control on construction sites. However, a local company has always stood out in terms of going the extra mile to minimize erosion, keep sediment on site, and protect our waterways – Stan Miller, Inc.

I bring this up now because I recently visited the Coyne Valley Road culvert installation construction site currently being done by Stan Miller, Inc. and was impressed at the great job they are doing and the extra effort to keep sediment out of the Blue River. They diverted the river in such a way as to minimize bank erosion, isolate the work area, and keep construction sediment and contamination out of the river. This sets an example for all construction companies to follow – as they should.
