DOW to deliver news via e-mail


SUMMIT COUNTY – Wildlife enthusiasts can get up-to-the-minute news from the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) delivered to their computer via e-mail.The DOW Insider is a free service.”The DOW Insider allows citizens to receive information firsthand,” said Loyse Hinkle, a DOW internet specialist. “It’s part of our effort to communicate with the public about protecting Colorado’s wildlife.”To sign up, go to the DOW website at Click on “personalize this site/sign up for DOW Insider,” then go to “sign up for My DOW,” and create a user profile.Subscribers can choose to receive information from several different categories, or a combination of categories, including fishing, habitat, hunting, species conservation, Wildlife Commission action, wildlife viewing or all of the above. Once a user creates a profile, the subscriber will receive press releases and updates based on the user’s preferences. “The Insider represents a very promising opportunity for the public to stay abreast of wildlife issues in Colorado,” Hinkle said.
