Drivers should be prepared for potential snow showers on Friday

Summit Daily staff report

The Colorado Department of Transportation is reminding drivers to play it safe on the roadways Friday after winter weather conditions over the last two days.

Along with a brief closing of Highway 6 at Loveland Pass on Thursday, CDOT placed passenger traction laws and commercial vehicle chain laws into effect in areas around the mountain corridor — including Loveland Pass, and areas of Interstate 70 west of Silverthorne and east of the Eisenhower/Johnson Memorial Tunnels.

With snow showers in the forecast for Thursday night and into Friday, roads may again be in poor condition.
