Duletsky thanks jurors, well-wishers after trial

I would like to thank the seven jurors who recently served at my malpractice trial in Summit County court. Your attention to detail and patience with two weeks of complex medical testimony and tedious legal maneuvering was outstanding. What you did not know was this was the first case brought to court in Colorado alleging wrongful death of an unborn fetus.I would also like to thank everyone who wrote, called or conveyed messages of support, not only for me personally but for my right to a fair trial in court. It has been a long two and a half years getting to court and your thoughts and prayers truly helped me survive these past two weeks. It is sad that despite years of experience the Summit Daily News still cannot produce a factual, objective article regarding a local event. The continued coverage was slanted, at best.Susanna Martens was a colleague as well as a patient; her death was a huge loss to her family, the community and me personally. Attacking my reputation in the local press during trial five years later served no purpose. Only the incredible integrity of the jurors resulted in justice, and once again I thank them deeply.
