Dwyer speaks about Guatemala on Sunday

JoAn Dwyer from the Organization for the Development of the Indigenous Maya, Guatemala will speak on Sunday at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. services at the Father Dyer United Methodist Church in Breckenridge. Dwyer has lived full time in Guatemala since 2001. She has helped establish medical/dental clinics, educational programs, children’s cultural exchanges, construction projects, as well as a community garden. Prior to her work in Guatemala, Dwyer worked as a social worker for 25 years in Texas addressing domestic violence issues.

Following the 5 p.m. church service with Dwyer speaking, there is a community dinner at 6 with Dwyer available to answer questions and discuss her work. All are welcome.
