RANCHO DEL RIO — Campout for the Cause, a three-day roots music and lifestyle festival presented by Bonfire Entertainment, will be held a week later this year, June 3-5, at Rancho Del Rio, near Bond. A limited release of $99 three-day tickets for the eighth annual festival will be available for purchase beginning today.

The riverside venue for Campout for the Cause is 40 minutes from Vail and is centrally located from other resort towns, including Steamboat Springs, Keystone and Breckenridge. The outdoor event features live music, camping, yoga of all styles, stand-up paddleboarding and lifestyle workshops for individuals, friends and families.

New this year, Campout will host the Stand Up Paddle Colorado Invitational and The Crossroads adventure expo area, highlighting companies and organizations that share similar ideals of lifestyle awareness and community responsibility.

“Campout is all about going back to our roots,” said Scotty Stoughton, founder of Campout for the Cause and owner of Bonfire Entertainment. “It’s a gathering that’s really anchored by authentic artists who create from the heart. Live music remains at the heart of Campout, but in 2016, festival participants will see a lot more lifestyle components added to the weekend and many more opportunities to engage with like-minded people.”

Headlining concerts include Paper Bird, Head for the Hills, Trout Steak Revival, The California Honeydrops, Drunken Hearts, Bonfire (Dub) and The Lil’ Smokies. Additional music sets and late-night jam sessions will be held at the ambient Soapbox Lounge overlooking the Colorado River. For an additional $20, arrive early on Thursday evening to set up camp before an exclusive campfire family jam with The Lil’ Smokies.

Campout for the Cause will partner with In Your Element this year to feature The Bend, a gathering space with daily riverside yoga classes and community-engaging lifestyle workshops such as SUP, permaculture, belly dancing, hand drumming, nutrition and more. Notable yoga instructors in attendance include Gina Caputo, Heath Perry and Rachel Nelson.

All yoga, lifestyle workshops, paddleboarding, live music and camping are included in Campout admission. An additional fee will be required to register for the SUP Colorado Invitational.

All net proceeds from the event benefit Campout nonprofit partners Big Heart Big Hands, which raises money for mountain rescue organizations, and the Education Foundation of Eagle County.

A limited number of single-day passes will go on sale at a future date and are based only on availability. For more information and to purchase advance tickets, visit http://www.campoutforthecause.org.
