EEOC says Colo. Springs clinic settles with former employee

COLORADO SPRINGS – Federal officials say a Colorado Springs clinic has agreed to pay a former employee $137,500 to settle allegations that she was discriminated against because of a hearing impairment.The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission says Colorado Sports and Spine Center will pay the money to Kristina Siebert and will conduct additional training for employees.The agency says Siebert wasn’t allowed to return to work after she was given administrative leave to be fit for hearing aids.A spokesman for the clinic did not immediately return a call seeking for comment.The EEOC says the clinic operated out of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services.
