Update: Eisenhower Tunnel reopens after vehicle fire

10:30 p.m.: All lanes have reopened
8:34 p.m.: Westbound I-70 has reopened

The Colorado Department of Transportation is reporting that a vehicle fire forced a closure of the Eisenhower Tunnel at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Interstate 70 is closed in both directions between Exit 205 and mile marker 215. As of 8 p.m. there was no estimated time of reopening.
CDOT advises drivers to detour using the alternate route: U.S. Highway 6 over Loveland Pass.
