Eldren in Alma

Daily News staff report
Special to the Daily

The band’s name is Eldren, and though each member has his or her own surname, all have adopted an “Eldren” family name too. The rock mashup band plays a free show at Alma’s Only Bar tonight. Here, members give us a looks at what the group is about:

(We’ve been) called a mashup of jazz, prog rock, jam, power pop, indie rock and more. We tend to refer to ourselves as a rock band.

From childhood memories filled with ant fights and sandy playgrounds to a scene from Game of Thrones to the subject of apocalypse, our music is inspired by a broad spectrum of things of our human and cosmic experience. But I guess we could’ve just answered, “The Beatles.”

Details to the true answer to this question, if ever disclosed to the public, will probably ruin any chance of our mothers ever speaking to us again (or acknowledging our birth) so – next question?

It’ll be like that one dream you’ve had that ended too early, and when you press your head to remember its details, you couldn’t. But then later that week you remember the dream, but before you write it down, you forget it again.

We just released our new single, “Girls.” … We’ll start working on our new EP release very soon.

Name of our spirit animals, credit card numbers and most importantly, our social security numbers – but you got most of the good ones.
