Election forum slated for Saturday morning

An election forum for statewide ballot questions on Amendments 60 and 61, and Proposition 101, is slated for Saturday morning at the Keystone Center, 1628 Sts. John Road, Keystone.

The discussion from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. is to cover the measures’ potential impacts on state and local government as well as special districts.

The three anti-tax issues have drawn heavy opposition for their impacts on government operations. Saturday’s forum is sponsored by Our Future Summit, the Summit Chamber of Commerce, the Summit Daily and the Summit Independent Business Alliance.

Additional forums are to include:

– Impacts on police, fire and emergency services; Oct. 7 from 7-9 p.m.; Summit County Community and Senior Center, Frisco

– Impacts on local business; Oct. 13 from noon to 1:30 p.m.; Spencer’s Steak and Spirits at Beaver Run Resort and Conference Center, Breckenridge

– Daily News staff report
