“No. 16 is a par-4 dogleg left. From point A to point B is probably around 300 yards, so alot of people try to knock on green, but only one out of 100 pull it off .

“The smart play would be to hit to the very long, wide fairway where you have about 140 yards to the hole. It takes all the trouble out of play. Or you can try to hit over the little saddle about 200 yards that leaves you about 100 yards (to the hole).

“There’s really three options: There’s the risk-reward that will lose you more money than it will make you; the safe play, which will never cost you anything; or the happy medium which gives you a good birdie opportunity, but can sometimes bite you.”
