Elisabeth Weseley: Contradicting altitude sickness cures

1) You interviewed Dr. David Gray, a former emergency room doctor, and Michaela Halcomb, infection preventionist. Altitude sickness is not an infection. What is Halcomb’s expertise in this field?

2) Gray: “Water is not an antidote and often makes the patient feel worse. Gray said the only time water helps is when the person is also dehydrated”

Halcomb: “…drinking plenty of fluids, eating carbohydrates”.

Hello? Did you question the difference in recommendations? What is the benefit of carbohydrates?

Should the editor have picked up these contradictions and omissions?
