Sunday is final day to enroll in health insurance coverage beginning in start of 2025
Coloradans looking to enroll in a new health insurance plan beginning next year will need to get the task done by this Sunday, Dec. 15.
That’s the final day to enroll in or change plans for coverage starting Jan. 1.
Connect for Health Colorado, which is the state’s official health insurance marketplace, has tools to assist customers with enrollment. The Quick Cost and Plan Finder tool allows customers to browse plans and coverage for their family. The tool is available at planfinder.connectforhealthco.com/home.
Open enrollment began Nov. 1 and ends Jan. 15. Open enrollment is the only period to enroll in or change marketplace health plans for the year. After that, enrollment is only possible with a special enrollment period.
Special enrollment periods are events like losing health coverage, moving, getting married, having a baby, or adopting a child, or if your household income is below a certain amount.
