Factory Stores fundraiser a success

Last month the Silverthorne Factory Stores held the first “Fashion Recycle Clothing Drive” in the Red Village by Tommy Hilfiger. In cooperation with the Association of Retarded Citizens (ARC) and Summit County Family and Intercultural Resource Center (FIRC), the Silverthorne Factory Stores collected gently used clothing to benefit ARC in Denver. In return ARC donated 10 cents per pound to FIRC. Over the course of the day about 2,000 pounds of clothing was collected! All those who donated received Silverthorne Factory Stores Gift Certificates. Many of the gift certificate recipients donated their certificate back to FIRC for a total of $245. The Fashion Recycle Clothing Drive will be held as an annual event every August. Contact Jana Rae, marketing director of the Silverthorne Factory Stores at (970) 262-9239.
