SILVERTHORNE – Tired of comedy you can’t take your kids to?The Silverthorne Pavilion offers a solution with Scott McCray’s G-rated comedy and holiday magic show.The world of magic first enchanted McCray when he was 8 years old. In 1990, he earned the title of Colorado Junior Magician of the Year, and two years later he won second place at an international talent competition in Toronto, Canada. His magic has taken him to England, Mexico, Hawaii -and even Kansas.But his magic isn’t just kids’ stuff. During the mid 1990s, he entertained hundreds of visitors in the gaming towns of Black Hawk and Central City as Harrah’s lead entertainer and co-starred in the critically acclaimed Illusionation, a regional touring magic show.”Scott McCray is one of those delightful personalities that can pull out the kid in anyone at any age,” said Maggie Butler, Silverthorne Pavilion coordinator. “He is a pro who has mastered the art of making his audience members ask ‘How did he do that?'”His success has led to gigs with The American Express Travel Group, Lucent Technologies, Sun Microsystems, Vectra Bank Colorado, The Toyota Corporation, The Seiko Epson Corporation and Hewlett Packard.He now lives in Denver with his wife and children.Tickets to Wednesday’s show are $8 in advance and may be purchased by calling (970) 262-7390.
