Family & Intercultural Resource Center receives $50,000 grant from Wells Fargo for new assistance program
Summit County’s Family & Intercultural Resource Center received a $50,000 grant from The Wells Fargo Foundation that will support the organization’s financial empowerment services for local families.
The grant will be used to help families achieve financial stability by reducing their rent to income ratio through Family & Intercultural Resource Center’s Housing Justice Scholarship Program. A three-year pilot program, the initiative includes monthly rental assistance, case management to help families access available resources and financial literacy classes covering topics such as budgeting and saving. It is estimated to reach 60 families a year.
