Far View Horse Rescue in need of handyman volunteers
Far View Horse Rescue is looking for helpers for its annual Fall Volunteer Days this weekend.
Work is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 21, and projects include fixing fences, painting and general handyman work. Volunteers should come prepared with clothing layers and gloves. Bagels and orange juice will be provided at 8:30 a.m., and barbecue and sandwiches will end the day.
The nonprofit outside of Fairplay has more than a dozen horses and donkeys that were rescued and are being rehabilitated. For more information, go to FarViewHorseRescue.com or call 970-376-2103.
