Fat Tire bike swap is May 29

Daily News staff reports

The Summit Fat Tire Society Bike ‘N Gear Swap is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 29 at the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge.

The cost to shop is $3 for adults and $1 for kids 17 and under.

If you’re planning to sell items, you can deliver them to the Riverwalk from noon to 8 p.m. May 28 and the morning of the swap from 8 a.m. to noon.

There’s no cost to the seller to check in items. However, you must make arrangements to collect unsold items from 4-7 p.m. after the swap.

If you won’t be around Memorial Day weekend, you can still check in items beginning Saturday, May 22, through Thursday, May 27, at Great Adventure, 400 N. Park Ave., Breckenridge, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

All proceeds benefit the Summit Fat Tire Society. On items priced under $100, the SFTS will get 15 percent; on items priced more than $100, the SFTS will get 10 percent. All items must be priced in whole dollars.

All summer gear (no skis or winter gear) is fair game. That includes clothing, bikes, bike racks, kayaks, tents, packs, sleeping bags, camping gear, anything outdoors and summer oriented.

The SFTS also accepts donations of items that if sold, all proceeds benefit the SFTS and if they don’t sell, it will deliver to appropriate agencies like Social Services.
