the denver post

The right lane of eastbound Interstate 70 was closed for several hours this evening near Copper Mountain after a fatal rollover accident, the Colorado State Patrol said.

All lanes were reopened by 7:10 p.m.

A State Patrol spokeswoman said 35-year-old Omar Reyes of Glenwood Springs faces a criminal charge of careless driving resulting in death after he lost control of his blue Honda Odyssey at 2:55 p.m., crossing from the left lane into the right lane and rolling the van.

A passenger in Reyes’ van died at the scene, the State Patrol said. He was later identified by the Summit County Coroner as 19-year-old Macario Perez-Mellin of Glenwood Springs. Cause of death is pending toxicology.
