Father Dyer annual Treasure Sale

The “Women of Father Dyer United Methodist Church” have scheduled the annual Treasure Sale for Saturday, August 2 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church fellowship hall and church parking lot located at 310 Wellington Road (corner of Briar Rose and Wellington) in Breckenridge.

This annual event has been the key fundraising activity for the “Father Dyer Special Assistance Fund.” The Father Dyer Special Assistance Fund returns a majority of its proceeds from the sale directly to the benefit of individuals with special needs within the Breckenridge community. These special needs include food (from Father Dyer Church food cupboard), lodging, bus tickets, gas money, clothing and many other extraordinary needs of the Breckenridge community. A portion of the proceeds is also contributed to the Father Dyer sponsored mission trip to Guatemala that builds community facilities and provides health care services in remote areas of Guatemala.

Donations will be accepted at the church fellowship hall from 10 a.m. to S p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (July 30″August 1) prior to the August 2 sale. Adult clothing, mattresses, large appliances, computer monitors and computers cannot be accepted.

There will be no presale opportunities. The 8 a.m. ringing of the church bell will signal the beginning of the sale.

Individual donors of high-price items such as automobiles or other merchandise that might qualify for special assistance should contact the number shown below. For additional information or any other details of the Annual Treasure Sale, please phone (970) 547-1879.
